Company presentation
The company was founded in 1987 by Marco Trentarossi and Pierluigi Zocchi. It began its business designing microprocessor systems with display interfaces for the automation of plastic bag production and stone processing machines in Italy and abroad. Until 2005, Sirius itself handled software and hardware development in the field, gaining a deep understanding of the needs and issues related to it in a wide range of sectors. In 2006, it transferred this expertise to creating customer-programmable systems, with the related development tools, according to the IEC 61131-3 standard, integrating motion and CNC. This strategy allowed the company to increase its customer base, focusing on the development of real-time Linux-based operating environments. Also in 2006, it expanded its knowledge in the field of automation by creating high-tech drives for brushless, stepper, and linear motors, pioneering the use of vector-controlled stepper motors. The drives currently manufactured support the most common fieldbuses (CANopen, EtherCAT), the most technologically advanced feedback systems (Endat 2.2, Biss-C, Sincos, etc.), and include PLC functionality. Sirius also creates custom products for customers who wish to customize their products.
