COMPANY PRESENTATION
Hello, my name is Pierre Boitard, and I’m the director of the Atraltec production site in Chavanoz. This site assembles electronic boards for our company.
And hello, my name is Gilles Cavallucci, and I manage the EMS department of Atraltech, the one that opened the doors to subcontracting in our company.
Our company, Atraltech, is a former division of Hager, which manufactured, developed, and distributed security products such as Diagrale alarms, Daitem, and Logisty.
So today, we’ve been independent for two years and continue to carry these brands—Diagrale, Daitem, and Logisty. At the same time, we’ve also developed a whole subcontracting business to leverage our production sites, particularly the one in Chavanoz near Annecy, and the one in Crolles next to our headquarters.
So the distribution is as follows: at Chavanoz, we do all the electronic assembly—the boards you see here.
At Crolles, we integrate these electronic boards, often into plastic cases. We also test and conduct quality control, and we handle logistics at the Crolles site.
KEY NUMBERS
Atraltec employs 380 people. And at the Chavanoz production site, we employ 60 people.
VALUES AND CSR
The key word you see behind us here is “producing locally.”
Because at Atraltech, we have a culture and a desire to seek out customers and partners all around our geographic area.
And when I say geographic area, I mean Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
But not only that—we’re expanding across France.
In any case, we’re really targeting manufacturers who want to relocate their production and work close to the production site.
EXPERTISE AND KNOW-HOW
Today, we have fairly extensive expertise in all battery-powered and radiofrequency products.
This expertise is specific to our alarm products.
And it’s also what we can offer our customers through our manufacturing sites.
Since it’s a whole set of technical skills that we apply to our products for the assembly of electronic boards.
Today, we know how to assemble just about any technology.
And so, we also have advantages to offer in the radio frequency segment.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY
The types of series in which we are in our comfort zone are between 5,000 and 500,000 pieces.
So, we’re not large-scale electronics manufacturers like those for the automotive or consumer markets. Nor are we prototypists.
But in what we call High Mix Low Volume, we’re really in a comfort zone.
And we’re very competitive. This has allowed us to achieve very strong growth since 2023, following the sale of the Hager group.
Despite an economic climate that we know is unfavorable—especially in 2024.
We’ve experienced strong growth thanks to these advantages of High Mix Low Volume.
And behind this slogan, there’s a whole suite of equipment that allows us to automate many tasks.
And to be very efficient and aggressive in terms of pricing for these medium quantities.
In terms of capacity at the electronic board assembly plant, we can go up to 300 million—or even 500 million—components per year.
Which is quite large. It means we still have plenty of bandwidth.
We still have plenty of room to expand and develop this electronic board assembly subcontracting business.
NEWS
We can highlight our latest-generation factory, which is equipped with high-performance systems.
We also have Industry 4.0 capabilities, which allow us to monitor and control our manufacturing processes.
That’s key for our customers. So that’s the Chavanoz factory that Pierre manages.
And at the Crolles factory, the news of the day is that we just inaugurated it.
We had been renting for several years.
And we built our own factory next to the headquarters, which we inaugurated this week with great fanfare—regional officials included.
This will greatly support our CSR approach, as this factory is covered in solar panels.
There’s an entire project for full energy autonomy.
We’ll even produce more electricity than we consume at this site in Crolles.
